A dreamy and fun family photography in Waban Ma

This family photography session in Waban MA was sooooo much fun!  This dreamy in-home maternity session included the whole family but these two little ladies stole the show.  They are so excited to welcome a little brother soon.  I was lucky to capture their sweet and energetic dispositions with them dancing, having fun, and even playing “jumping sardines” on the bed.  lol  I can’t wait to meet their little brother and to capture them as a new family of five!

What to wear for maternity photos – a flowy dress

This mom wanted a dreamy and organic look for her pregnancy/family session.   She and her daughters wore these beautiful white dresses giving their photos a whimsical feel… they were all matching {{{swoon}}}.  Many mama’s-to-be always wonder what to wear for their photos and a long dress is always a perfect option: they add a feminine and airy feel.  Just look at how gorgeous mama looks!

How to prep older kids for another sibling

In my last blog post, I shared information on tips for moms having a second child.  But what are some tips to help older children awaiting the arrival of a new sibling? According to Preparing your Grade-Schooler for a New Sibling on babycenter.com, below are a few tips to help with the transition:

  • Get the little ones involved.  You can peak their excitement for the new baby by letting them feel the baby kicking, having them read out loud to your belly, or helping you track the baby’s development on a calendar.
  • Talk to them.  Ask them how they’re feeling and what they know about babies.  You can give them confidence by looking their own baby pictures and answering any questions they have.  Remember to keep the conversations postive and upbeat.
  • Give them experience.  It would be advantageous to visit family and friends that have babies so your grade-schoolers can have real life experience.  At first, they may be overhelmed, but the more time they spend with babies around, the more they’ll feel prepared to welcome their little sibling.
  • Let them have a little control.  Letting them have a say in small desicions such as picking baby clothes & furtniture will help them feel included in the process and will prepare them to welcome the new baby!
